Wednesday August 23, 12:17 AM Man smuggling Subutex in anus caught at Woodlands Checkpoint SINGAPORE : A 45-year-old suspect who tried to smuggle Subutex tablets in his anus was arrested at Woodlands Checkpoint. Central Narcotics Bureau officers arrested the man who was behaving nervously at the bus arrival hall on Monday night. They found a tube, which contained seven Subutex tablets and 23 other tablets believed to be controlled drugs, lodged in his anus. A raid at the suspect's Tampines residence revealed more drugs. If convicted, the man could face five years in jail and five strokes of the cane. In a separate case, officers found one and a half Subutex tablets in a taxi at Woodlands Checkpoint. The tablets were found under the floor mat.
